Special Interest Groups (SIGS)
AfTA sponsors two "Special
Interest Groups" (SIGS) which present members and guests
with informal education and discussion opportunities.
These SIGS go into depth on various topics using local
speakers with expertise in their subjects.
Traders Preview SIG
We will have a different
local trader each month presenting their plan and/or
philosophy.
The Trader's Preview SIG
meets from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. just prior to our regular
meetings in the same room. It will start promptly at
5:30 p.m. so plan accordingly.
The Traders Preview SIG is
open to anybody including those of you that are not yet AfTA
members. Additionally, it is free of charge;
however, if you plan on staying for the regular session you
will need to either join AfTA at the annual rate of $100 or
attend as a guest for $25 for that night's regular session.
Active
Trader
SIG
Primarily focuses on short
term swing or day trading techniques. Instruments
traded may be stocks, eMini's, futures, options, of FOREX.
The SIG is for aggressive traders who prefer to be quite
active in their trading in order to compound profits and
minimize risks. Presentations are made by local
traders.
Usually Meets at 10:00 a.m.
the Saturday after the regular AfTA meeting at Baylor
College of Dentistry. Usually continues to meet during
the summer months.
